1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your password, stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text
- Optionally, how you found us
- Optionally, a profile picture
When you buy a course, Stripe collects your billing name, payment method, country and transaction details. Marketplace products are bought on Gumroad, which handles that purchase under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card number.
While you use the platform, we store which lessons you mark as done and the comments, replies and ratings you post.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To give you access to the courses and products you bought
- To track your course progress
- To send service emails about your account, payments and updates you asked for, such as course launch notifications
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
3. Services we rely on
We share information only as needed to run the platform:
- Our hosting provider serves the website.
- Supabase stores account and site data.
- Stripe processes course payments.
- Gumroad sells and delivers marketplace products.
- YouTube plays lesson and portfolio videos, using its privacy-enhanced mode.
We may also disclose information when required by law.
4. Public content
Your display name, profile picture and any review, rating, comment or reply you post are publicly visible. Don't post personal or sensitive information.
5. Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; you'll need to sign in again.
6. Data security
We use appropriate measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, change, disclosure or destruction. No online service is perfectly secure.
7. Links to other websites
The platform links to third-party websites and services. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so we recommend reading their policies.
8. Your rights (Canada and international)
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of your data
- Correct your information
- Delete your account
